How Porsche service intervals work
Mileage or time, whichever comes first
Most items come due at a mileage or an age, whichever arrives first. A garage-kept car that covers a few thousand miles a year still reaches its time intervals. Some items are on time alone. Brake fluid, for example, is replaced on a two-year cycle regardless of miles.
Checked is not the same as replaced
Each service includes items that are inspected and items that are replaced. On many models the drive belt is checked at 40,000 miles and replaced at 60,000. We tell you which is which before the work starts, so you know what was done and what was looked at.
It depends on the model
A 997, a Macan and an air-cooled 911 do not share a schedule. Turbocharged engines take spark plugs sooner than naturally aspirated ones. Older cars have wear items the factory schedule never listed. That is why we confirm the scope for your car rather than publishing one list for every Porsche.

Oil and filter service with an inspection of the car. The visit that keeps the service record going.
Intermediate and major services
The larger interval services, including the 40,000 mile service. Filters, fluids, spark plugs and inspections as the schedule for your model calls for them. We confirm the scope for your car before you book.
Work that comes up during service
PDK service, brake fluid, cooling system repairs, oil and coolant leaks, brake pads and rotors, suspension bushings. If we find something during a service we tell you what it is, what it costs and whether it can wait.
Parts come through WorldPac and SSF.
